Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing marketing, advertising and promotional activities at Sackett Systems. Takes steps to measure, enhance, and enrich the position and image of a company through various goals and objectives.  Leads the organization in research for new products, product enhancements and product redesign. Develop marketing and pricing strategies to generate revenue growth and new business leads.  Also manage marketing budgets and analyze trends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with the leadership team to set the marketing strategy for the business.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.
  • Researching and analyzing market trends and competitors.  Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads.
  • Analyze customer insights, market trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful marketing strategies.
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
  • Partner with email, performance marketing and web organizations to design, test and evolve lead nurturing tactics.
  • Managing the design and production of promotional materials, such as websites, cut sheets, sell sheets, equipment specification documents and brochures.
  • Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels.
  • Negotiating and liaising with third-party marketing agencies and outsourced creative firms to ensure objectives for all advertising and communications, including print, digital and video are met and managing their performance.
  • Overseeing marketing campaigns and tracking effectiveness of marketing campaigns and reporting findings to the leadership team.
  • Writing and delivering content and social media plans.
  • Looking after the marketing budget and making sure the budget spend is delivering a return on investment.
  • Overseeing the company’s attendance at events, such as trade shows, and conferences.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.

Mathematical Ability: Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:  Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook Adobe Illustrator/In-design/Photoshop
